Description

Playing around with my new camera i got and what better way to try it out on the dove that is nesting near my home ( these doves nest there time and time again so its a bit annoying to my mom)

Ignore the cables and such its a bit annoying that we have them out there at all.

Edit: my camera is still a point and shoot but it works like the SLRs do

The White Balance, good focus, and the fact that there is no over or underexposure makes this a picture well taken.

But the composition needs work, The cables in the back and the grill in the bottom makes it somewhat charged with elements that shouldn't be there. It distracts from the bird that is the main subject. This kind of pictures are taken as if it was a portrait, the subject must stand out from the rest. The background should be something simple, if not possible, use the telephoto reach of your lens and try to isolate it with a fast aperture.

A tighter crop would make this picture better. Or another angle if possible.
